Luccas Oliveira
Co-Founder of Sailor Studio | Creative Director | Executive Producer | Motion Designer
Luccas Oliveira has always been interested in animation cartoons from an early age. He began his career as a character animator in children's series, fulfilling his childhood dream of bringing cartoons and stories to life. After a few years working in the area, he migrated to a career as a freelance motion designer, serving several studios and advertising agencies. At that time, he had the opportunity to work at the biggest agencies in Brazil, such as Ogilvy & Mather, DM9DDB, Publicis and Africa. That time served as a school for him, working alongside legendary and extremely relevant professionals in Brazilian advertising, helping to create and produce hundreds of animations for major advertisers in the country.
Always very curious and self-taught, he learned practically all the technical basics of animation, design and video editing by himself (with books and many tutorials) while still in his teens. Later he graduated in Computer Graphics and Animation Design at the Belas Artes College in São Paulo, improving his theoretical and practical baggage.
After years working as a freelancer, he joined forces with his friend Gustavo “GGA” Almeida and founded Sailor Studio, a creative animation, illustration and live action studio to serve the advertising market. Together with their team, they won the biggest advertising awards in the world, including 6 CANNES LIONS, One Shows, LIAs, among others. At Sailor, he acts as General Director and Executive Producer, in addition to not leaving his passion aside and also getting his hands dirty as an animator in the main projects. Today, he serves the largest advertising agencies in Brazil and the world, along with a multidisciplinary team spread throughout Brazil.
During his more than 10 year career, he had the opportunity to tell stories and help creatively build campaigns for the world's biggest brands, including Adidas, Burger King, McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Disney, Google, TikTok, Facebook, Vivo , TIM, Motorola, Samsung, Faber-Castell, BIC, Yamaha, BMW, Jeep, Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Citroën, Nissan, Itaú, Santander, Bradesco, Safra, Porto Seguro, AMBEV, Heineken, Skol, Colorado, Aeropostale, Pfizer, Intimus, Oral-B, Hasbro, Mentos, Hellmanns, Lacta, Nestlé, Ajinomoto, Ben & Jerry's and many more.
That's the professional Luccas Oliveira, but deep down he's just a curious guy, who loves going to the movies, watching football, likes to write stories, have barbecues in his backyard with his friends and family and who, if he could, would live traveling the world. He is Alice's father, Valeria and Maurício's eldest son, Arthur's stepfather, Ellen's husband and they are expecting their next baby together, Apollo :)
